One of the things I love the most about photographing weddings is that I get to observe. I can observe the people, watching the emotions as they play out around me. I also get to see some gorgeous details such as the shoes, dresses, flowers and gifts during bride prep. During this part of the day emotions of the bridal party are often on high. This makes it such a special time of the wedding day, with the lead up to the ceremony.

The biggest compliment I've ever had as a wedding photographer is to be called a ninja! This has been mentioned to me by at least three different couples over the many years I've been shooting weddings. They said I was so discreet when capturing the day, they hardly noticed I was there. This is honestly the biggest compliment! A wedding day is all about the bride and groom, and shouldn't be about the photographer. Meet the stunning Sophie and Simon! This warm and friendly couple were married at the perfect Comlongon Castle in Scotland. It was such a lovely day which included the ceremony in the top of the castle, the wedding rings were delivered by a hawk (the owl was car sick!) and a birds of prey display for the wedding guests in the castle grounds.
