Center Parcs Photo Session | Penrith Family Photographer
I'm often asked to pop in to Center Parcs in Penrith (Whinfell Forest) to photograph a family shoot. It's such a pleasure to join families as they enjoy the scenery of the forest on their holiday. Red Squirrels, deer, pheasants and rabbits are often frequent visitors on the shoots, and I love spending half an hour before the shoot capturing the little details for the family to bring back happy memories of their stay in nature. The texture of the bark on the trees, frost on cobwebs suspended between trees, flowers gently swaying in the breeze...
Where Are You Based? Local Wedding Photographer
This is a question I've had a number of times, and the honest answer is anywhere! I know so many wedding photographers prefer to work at local venues, and as amazing as it is to stay close to home I've had the pleasure of photographing weddings across the whole of the UK and abroad. The furthest away South Africa, Italy and Spain... although I had to send a friend to South Africa as I couldn't make it! I'll never get over that one...
Here are just a few weddings from various parts of the UK I've worked in. Each wedding was an adventure!

Richard & Harshana | Palm House Wedding Photography
Meet the stunning Harshana and Richard! This couple were recently married at the Palm House in Sefton Park, Liverpool.
Richard and Harshana had to postpone their wedding a number of times, and living abroad during the Pandemic added to the complications. Thankfully due to the restrictions lifting they were finally able to go ahead with their special day, and were joined by family and friends from a number of countries. They clearly put a lot of thought and planning into all of the little details, from Harshana's bride prep at the iconic...
Jazz & Ste | Gretna Hall Wedding Photographer
Meet the gorgeous Jazz and Ste! This couple were SO much fun to photograph! The day started at Gretna Hall and was incredibly wet (hello, Scottish rain!) with their ceremony taking place in the Historic Coach House. We managed to get some photos in the grounds at Gretna Hall - a few shots in the gardens which are just starting to come to life with the hint of Spring. The natural photos and scenery were most important to this bride and groom, and despite getting rather wet they were up for the challenge. This made my job easier... and that...
Catherine & Marcus | Nunsmere Hall Cheshire Wedding Photographer
Meet Catherine, Marcus and their gorgeous daughter, Isabella! I joined them for their wedding at Nunsmere Hall in Cheshire. The day was one full of so much sunshine, love and laughter. Catherine was very organised and had planned some beautiful personal touches. From the bigger things- an old fashioned ice cream cart, the wonderful Sing Along Waiters leaving everyone crying with laughter, the touching violin solos of Craig Owen - down to the tiny details such as the photos of Catherine's loved ones on her bridal bouquet....
Louise & Ryan | The Barn at Wayside Wedding Photographer Shropshire
Oh where do I start with this one?! Louise and Ryan were married at the gorgeous and unique The Barn at Wayside in Shropshire. From start to finish the day was super relaxed, and I can honestly say I've never met a more chilled groom! Not long before the ceremony he was in a t-shirt getting things set up and ready to go. Louise and Ryan had planned this all along- a relaxed and fun day for their guests on the campsite / barn conversion which must have been so much fun for their guests to stay on site with them! Louise...

Meet Melissa, Adam and their gorgeous daughter Lily! This lovely little family were recently married at Merrydale Manor in Knutsford, Cheshire. The wedding venue gives a perfect relaxed Country feel with a touch of class- surrounded by fields it made a pretty backdrop for their wedding day.
I had the pleasure of working alongside the talented Sam Wilkinson Videography who had travelled all the way from Essex! We were spoiled for choice during bride prep in the spacious rooms, and the weather was unexpectedly sunny (despite...
What do Professional Photographers Use to Edit Photos?
One question I've had from clients is how do I edit photos? I like to keep my style natural and clean, timeless. Although some extreme editing trends can seem cool, I always think how will they age? One thing that's certain is that clear colours and classic black and whites seem to be timeless, and it's my go to style!
I envy the photographs with the skills (and patience!) that turn editing into an art form, but for my photos I use Lightroom from Adobe and once in a while Photoshop too to gently edit and tweak the images to bring out the best...
