Natural Wedding Photography
The biggest compliment I’ve ever had as a wedding photographer is to be called a ninja! This has been mentioned to me by at least three different couples over the many years I’ve been shooting weddings. They said I was so discreet when capturing the day, they hardly noticed I was there. This is honestly the biggest compliment! A wedding day is all about the bride and groom, and shouldn’t be about the photographer. By allowing a wedding to flow naturally and by being that fly on the wall for a majority of the day, you can capture a wedding day as it happens. These natural moments are beautiful, honest, and true. No constant posing. No constant interruptions.
Many couples feel a little shy around the camera, and they can feel a bit of nervous anticipation when it comes up to the wedding day. It’s important to feel comfortable with your photographer, and knowing that they aren’t going to be in your face all day long but rather capturing the natural moments from the sideline can be a massive comfort. It’s certainly one less thing to worry about, as weddings are complicated enough as they are!
I’ve had the pleasure of joining so many different couples, each and every love story unique. Being there to catch natural wedding photos that tell each story is such a pleasure!
