It is with much excitement (and a bit of disbelief) that I write this little blog post to announce that I have had the honour of winning The Wedding Community’s competition ‘Picture of the Month’.
When my picture was chosen as ‘Picture of the Day’ I never thought that I’d win the competition that followed. I was up against some stunning shots. So when I received an email at 12:04pm (yes, how sad is it that the competition closed at 12:00pm, and I recall the email was at 12:04 exact) I got quite a shock!! Liverpool Wedding Photography - Suites Hotel
Jemma and Keith’s wedding day took place at the Suites Hotel Knowsley in Liverpool. The day was a beautiful one and everyone was lovely, including the staff! The only thing that didn’t quite go to plan was the weather!! But despite this, it seemed to work in our favour. We used their beautiful bridal suite for the couples portraits, and got some pictures that we would have missed out on if the day had been a dry one. That’s one thing I love about weddings, sometimes what first appears to be a disadvantage can actually turn out in your favour....
Shropshire Wedding Photography, Rowton Castle
This was a wedding that I was looking forward to for a long time. When I heard that it was going to be taking place in the stunning Rowton Castle, I got very excited. Maybe because the word castle brings out my childhood fantasies. Maybe because David and Helen are a lovely couple, and that really does make the world of difference.
A few weeks before the wedding, I received a message from Helen, saying that she has seen the work from my recent weddings, and that she was so pleased that I was going to be doing her photos for her. This just sums up the type...
How important are business cards? Well, they are one item that I decided to invest in near the birth of my wedding photography business, and it's been a great buy. I use a company called Moo.com, and I've never looked back. I can't rave about them enough, they are very professional, offer a wide range of personalised business cards, and have a quick dispatch time too. They also offer personalised stickers which are great for logos for packaging things like prints.
Having a little mini portfolio carried around with me has been fantastic for my business, and obviously it gives a good impression...
