Amelia & Danny | Pre Wedding Photography Lancashire
Introducing the stunning Amelia and Danny. I had the pleasure of photographing their pre-wedding shoot for them the other day in a beautiful park nearby. Sadly the weather was not on our side this time, but we made the most of an interesting disused railway bridge with a bit of flash to give the photographs some atmosphere.
I met Amelia and Danny a couple months ago, so it was nice to meet up with them a second time before their big day. They will soon be getting married at the gorgeous Mitton Hall in Clitheroe, I can't wait to join...
Adrian & Elizabeth | Pre Wedding Photography Lancashire
I met up with the lovely couple Adrian and Liz the other day for their pre-wedding shoot. They are a friendly, fun couple who brought along their puppy Hattie. She is perhaps the cutest puppy alive! We were blessed with stunning weather as we walked around the park, making the most of the sun as it was going down for the evening. It wasn't quite golden hour, but it was close enough, as the light gave a beautiful glow to the photographs.
I will be joining them for their wedding day this September, so it's always exciting finding out how the plans...
Wedding Photography Lancashire & Cumbria
I was back at one of my absolute favourite wedding venues this weekend, the very stunning Linthwaite House Hotel in Cumbria. Overlooking Lake Windermere, it's an amazing location on a normal day, but to be there in the sunshine... it's paradise! I was at Linthwaite a few weeks ago for Richard and Magda's Pre Wedding Shoot, where the trees were still lacking leaves and the flowers were not yet in bloom. We were blessed on Saturday, as the leaves and flowers have now come out giving the gardens and scenery extra beauty.
Magda is Polish, as her parents...
Pure Emotion | Documentary Lancashire Wedding Photography
Documentary wedding photography, reportage wedding photography, wedding photojournalism... whatever you want to call it, it's a large part of my style and aim as a wedding photographer. I always work to keep posing down to a minimum, allowing more emotion and natural moments to be captured on your big day. Acting as a fly on the wall for a large majority of the day, I let you get on enjoying yourself, and am as unobtrusive as possible.
I recently shot a wedding at Gretna Green, Scotland. I was incredibly privileged to witness this...
Outdoor Wedding Catering | Cumbria & Lancashire Wedding Photography
Recently I had the pleasure of photographing Philippa & Graham's wedding in the stunning Loweswater area of Cumbria, Lake District. Their wedding day was a unique and fun packed day, with all sorts of detailed personal little touches. Pooh sticks to throw over a bridge, skimming stones on Lake Ulswater, a swing hanging from a tree, an old fashioned photo booth for guests to add photos to their guest book... there are too many details to list them all! One of the other lovely details was the food, which was provided...
Portmeirion Wedding Photography Sneak Peek
It's always exciting getting back from a wedding and taking a little look at the photographs captured that day. An enjoyable (and slightly daunting) task is selecting an image or two to show the couple a teaser of their wedding day. Obviously due to backlog it can be a few weeks before the couple see all of their photographs, so I like to give them a chance to see at least one glimpse of what's to come. But how do you use one photograph to sum up an entire day packed full of so many people, so many things happening, and so many good times?
I had the incredible...
Lancashire Wedding Photography | Detailed Wedding Photographs
First and foremost I work as a wedding photographer to document your wedding day. Capturing beautiful emotions, moments as they happen, and taking pictures of the general atmosphere of the wedding. But one part of the job that I love is detail shots during bridal preparation. So much thought and attention goes into a wedding day. Brides spend a lot of time finding all of the perfect details to tie her wedding together and make it her own. Some brides even spend hundreds of pounds on the perfect shoes, which she will most likely...
In this modern society, it is the norm to receive your wedding and portrait photographs in digital files. This is incredibly beneficial, and practical. However, there is nothing quite like seeing your pictures in print, in front of you in a beautiful wedding album to treasure. I decided to order an example of one of the albums I offer my clients, so they can see for themselves the beauty of pictures in print.
I opened this package with much excitement, and I certainly was not disappointed with what I found! Inside the beautiful leather cover embossed with 'Karli Harrison Photography', some of my favourite...
The impressive Hillbark Hotel, Wirral is next on my wedding venue locations list. I am going to have the pleasure of capturing Hillbark Hotel wedding photography this year, which I'm really looking forward to! It's a perfect location for weddings. I was there last year working as a second cinematographer, but this time I'm going to be doing what I love the most, photography.
Built in 1891, it's said that the grand Hillbark Hotel is made entirely of wood. It's a lovely location for a spa break, a weekend away, and an ideal building for a fairytale wedding. The grounds a gorgeous, creating the perfect...
I had the pleasure of working as Claire and Trevor's wedding photographer for the day. It was one filled with special touches that made it truly unique. I just love weddings like theirs! It makes the occasion so personal for the couple, and definitely more memorable for all of the guests.
At the very start of the day while Claire was getting ready, she was shown into a bedroom where a collection of gifts had been laid out on the bed for her. As soon as she saw the stuffed monkey called Mojo, the excitement and surprise on her face was clear to see!! Mojo and Claire go way back to when Claire...
