My favourite Scottish wedding to date has to be the incredible Plockton Hotel wedding, with Mirena and James. We met up on the shore of Plockton Hotel, and walked across to a tidal island for their little wedding ceremony. It was pouring with rain, but there was something about the umbrellas that made it feel extra intimate.
After the ceremony, the bride and groom ate a snack under a canopy outside the Highland hotel. For their photos we took a scramble up a large hill, walking up the steep rock...

There's something special about Gretna weddings. Full of so much history and tradition, I love popping up to Scotland for so many weddings there. The beauty of the place for me are the hidden pockets of nature scattered around, if you want to avoid the touristy bits (cute and quirky as they may be!) there are fields, flowers and classy looking backdrops to be had.
Lauren and Macauley had a lovely little Gretna wedding, these are a few of my favourite...

The Crichton Estate wedding photography Dumfries and Galloway
The stunning Crichton Estate is located in picturesque scenery in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It’s such a perfect location for weddings, with multiple venues within a stones throw of each other and too many places to pick for photographs with a bride and groom. On this particular wedding day we were simply spoiled for choice for their portraits - I was excited to use the field at the bottom of the estate...
Auchen Castle Wedding Photographer Moffat
There is a stunning Scottish Castle set in the hillsides of Moffat. One of the prettiest castles I've had the pleasure of working at, Auchen Castle is a perfect location for a wedding whether that is an elopement or an event with your favourite friends and family.
Multiple lounges provide plenty of places to sit and chat should the weather be typically Scottish! But the grounds of the castle are what make it extra special. There's a lake lower down, which is perfect for bride and groom portraits with a swing hanging from a tree. The castle is the backdrop...
Natural Wedding Photography
The biggest compliment I've ever had as a wedding photographer is to be called a ninja! This has been mentioned to me by at least three different couples over the many years I've been shooting weddings. They said I was so discreet when capturing the day, they hardly noticed I was there. This is honestly the biggest compliment! A wedding day is all about the bride and groom, and shouldn't be about the photographer. By allowing a wedding to flow naturally and by being that fly on the wall for a majority of the day, you can capture a wedding day as it happens. These natural...
