Robin & Elin's Family Shoot | Lifestyle Photographer Lancashire
I photographed Robin and Elin's engagement shoot and wedding (whilst heavily pregnant!) on the stunning Anglesey, in Wales a couple years ago. Instantly I had felt I had known them for years, they are such genuine, fun and friendly people.
Robin recently got in touch as he wanted to surprise Elin with a family photoshoot. The plan was to get some photos before Elin knew I was there, which was great fun! I had the privilege of meeting their beautiful girl, Lia. She was tired but super smiley which was impressive and shows...
Katie & John | Family Photographer Lancashire
Meet Katie & John and their little family. I had the pleasure of photographing them with their gorgeous son a couple years ago, when he was tiny. It was so special for them to invite me back to photograph his new adorable little sister, and the whole family together at their home. There's something touching about seeing clients a few years down the line, when they've started a family, or when their family has expanded! I love doing shoots at houses, often it provides a much more relaxed atmosphere for everyone, especially for the kids when...
Katie & John | Lancashire Family Photographer Clitheroe
I love family shoots. Working as a wedding photographer is truly enjoyable, but it's just as special seeing the other side of the story where people are often already married and they now have a baby or kids of their own. John and Katie's shoot was a beautiful one, I was asked to join them and the stunning little Spencer at their beautiful farmhouse in Clitheroe, Lancashire. The sun was shining and it was a perfect Autumn day to do a shoot.
The one thing that struck me about Spencer right away were his stunningly long eyelashes! So beautiful...
Baby Reuben | Newborn Photography Lancashire
It's exciting to be one of the first people to take a picture of a new little person, but it's even more exciting when it's friends that ask me to take the pictures for them. Baby Reuben's Mummy and Daddy are so blessed to have him in their lives, and I was excited to be able to photograph them all together with their family too. He was such a good baby to work with, he was only just two weeks old yet his skin was lovely, and he was very well behaved too! He did cry a little, but it was nothing a bit of milk couldn't fix. And to be honest, I've seen...
Business Photo Shoot | Lancashire Lifestyle Photographer
Something I love about my job is the variety. Yes, 90% of my work can be weddings especially in the Summer, but mixed in with the weddings I get the pleasure of shooting baby and family photo shoots. Recently I met the lovely Lynsey who was after some pictures for her professional website. She helps women who have worked in a corporate or other professional environment create their own successful businesses, and she needed some shots of herself to personalise the website.
Here are a few shots of the gorgeous Lynsey, she braved the cold...
Ruth & Nick | Family Photography Lancashire
I met up with Ruth and Nick the other day for their fun family shoot in the gorgeous Autumn sunshine.
It's immediately obvious how much Ruth and Nick love each other, and their gorgeous girls. One of the things Ruth told me before we met up was that "We love to laugh and play" so it was a true pleasure to capture how they interact with each other. Abby is a little delight to be around, and baby Lucy cracked me up the way she wouldn't look away from the camera!
Here are just a few favourites from their session. Ruth and Nick, thank you both...
Baby Freya | Lifestyle Family Photography Lancashire
I met up with the lovely Heidrun, Tim and baby Freya at their home in Galgate, Lancashire. Baby shoots always have me slightly on edge, I never know how the shoot will go. Will the baby be content? Will it cry constantly? Will the parents be at ease or upset if baby does cry? How will the baby feel about a stranger with a camera? I was relieved that the shoot was incredibly calm, and baby Freya was a superstar! I even got some smiles out of her, but I won't tell you the noises that I had to make to do so...
Heidrun and Tim, thank you so much...
One of the joys of this job is being able to take part in the most memorable times in peoples lives. I've had the privilege of capturing engagements, weddings, newborn, children and family portraits, but maternity photography was a first for me. I was really excited when I was asked to do this shoot, as I know what an exciting and incredibly special time of life pregnancy is.
For the maternity shoot we travelled to the beach at St Annes, Lancashire. The weather was absolutely glorious. We were able to take a stroll on the beach itself, and also have a few photographs taken in a field next to the shore....
