Jemma & Lenny | Wedding Photographer Scotland
Meet the gorgeous Jemma and Lenny! Their day was wonderfully unique, and it was certainly a special wedding. I've never been asked to surprise the bride and groom before... it was such a pleasure to see the excitement (and shock!) on Jemma's face as I walked through the door on the morning of her wedding. She found out in that exact moment that she had an official photographer for the day.
Lenny and Jemma were married at The Mill Forge in Gretna Green, Scotland. They were joined by their closest friends and family who all contributed to the relaxed...
Alisha & Benny | The Mill Wedding Photographer Gretna Green
I joined this gorgeous bride and groom a couple days ago at The Mill Forge which is a wedding venue situated in Gretna Green, Scotland. Alisha and Benny shared their special day with their closest friends and family. It was very relaxed, but despite the chilled atmosphere you could tell that Alisha had put so much thought into the planning and it was a truly beautiful result.
There was a fair bit of Scottish drizzle but we had a few minutes of sunshine and the timing couldn't have been more perfect!! Bride and Groom portraits...
Carita & David | Wedding Photographer Mill Forge Gretna Green
Meet Carita, David and their gorgeous little family! They eloped to the Mill Forge in Gretna Green, Scotland. I'm so excited to share a few photos from their intimate wedding.
The sun was shining through the blossoms on the trees on this warm Spring day. Carita loves blossom trees so they were the perfect backdrop for some photos. The mood of the day was very relaxed and we had a great time - including playing in the children's playground! The whole family were such a pleasure to photograph, and lovely to be around but the kids...
Natural Moments | Documentary Wedding Photographer Lancashire
Sometimes the light at a wedding is just right, and a magical moment happens right before your eyes. The photos can end up looking just like a painting, and the result is magic. No Photoshop necessary. One of these favourite moments was a photo of this gorgeous little girl who was grabbing on her Mummy's wedding dress. A beam of light was on her face. I bent down to take the shot, and that angle was just right. It looks magical! I love hearing what others think of this photo. They see a daughter dreaming of one day becoming a bride....
Palm House | Wedding Photographer Sefton Park, Liverpool
As a wedding photographer one of the most exciting parts of the job is finding some amazing venues. One of my all time favourites has the be Palm House in Sefton Park, Liverpool. It's a location I've had the privilege of working at a few times, and I look forward to working there again soon!
The Palm House is a Grade II listed building, a three tiered glass Victorian Conservatory. It was recently restored after lying in ruins for years, and it gives one of the most impressive backgrounds for a wedding. Offering so much beautiful light,...
Tom & Dee | Eaves Hall Wedding Photography Clitheroe
The gorgeous Dee and Tom were married at the beautiful Eaves Hall in Clitheroe, Lancashire. I first met Dee and Tom a few weeks before the wedding to discuss some of the final details for their day, and I knew immediately that they were going to be one of those fun couples who were going to be an absolute joy to join for on their big day.
On the day of the wedding the guests started to enter the ceremony room at Eaves Hall and they were all smiling and laughing. That's always a very good sign of what's to come! Dee had put a lot of thought...
Meet Andrew and Dawn! This gorgeous couple were married a few weeks ago at the stunning Gretna Green in Scotland. It is always such a pleasure to join couples in Gretna as they are smaller and more personal weddings with the people closest to them, which is exactly what weddings are about! Dawn had clearly put in a lot of thought, hours and work in the little details for the reception decorating, adding a beautiful personal touch. She even made a rocky road cake for Andrew as he isn't a fan of fruitcake! Personal touches like this are what clearly make weddings like this so special.
Dawn and Andrew,...

I have finally taken the leap over from Facebook to join Instagram with a business profile! I am going to be sharing some favourite photos from lots of the gorgeous couples I've had the pleasure of photographing in the past, as well as my lovely new couples to come.
I've been able to capture so many beautiful weddings in some stunning locations including both Italy and Spain, as well as closer to home in the equally beautiful Scotland, Wales and England. Going back over these images to update my new Instagram account has been so much fun remembering...
Worried About Rain On Your Wedding Day? | Wedding Photographer UK
Most couples book their wedding months, if not years, in advance to the big day. The British weather is certainly unpredictable (don't we all know it!) and whatever the time of year, rain is always a possibility. It's often a big worry on a bride's mind.
A few tips that can help with your pre-wedding weather jitters:
Ensure you have some umbrellas to hand. It may seem obvious, but I always carry around some large cream umbrellas in the boot of my car, just in case. It's one less thing for brides to think about, and in actual...
Peckforton Castle | Cheshire Wedding Photographer
The incredible Peckforton Castle is by far one of the most grand locations I've ever had the pleasure of photographing at. Set in Cheshire, this Grade 1 listed building was completed in 1851 by John Tollemach. His creation was a Medieval castle styled building, which offers a perfect place to stay, whether you're getting married, having a break or just taking a day trip out to Cheshire.
Set up in the hills, you first glimpse the castle on the drive up. The majestic building stands out from the trees, the beautiful red stone adding to its beauty.
If...
