I have the privilege of travelling to many special places when I work as a wedding and portrait photographer. Up and down the UK and abroad, each wedding feels like a little adventure. There’s something special about those weddings closer to home, though. They don’t seem to happen as often these days but I enjoy a wedding within the Lancashire area. Bursting with so much history, there are many wedding venues to choose from. Converted barns, stately homes, castles to name a few.

The beauty of working as a travelling photographer rather than in a fixed studio is I can go to locations that hold special and sentimental meaning to my clients. Sometimes it may be a park where they got engaged, or a beach where they enjoy going with their children… or even their house. I’m always open to suggestions and up for an adventure!

Sometimes wildlife and nature may not be the preferred background, I’m always happy doing shoots in towns and cities too. Taking in the architecture can give your photos a little something special, especially if it’s a sentimental location.
