One thing I enjoy so much about being a photographer is capturing the little details. Yes, the emotions are absolutely first priority along with the events of the day… but I also try and capture the little things around. During a wedding at bride prep I photograph the dress, shoes, flowers and sometimes the makeup to name a few items. At the ceremony venue I try and capture details of the building and gardens along with anything making the venue unique – flowers in the garden outside, details in the building and decor the bride and groom have carefully thought of. During the evening reception I capture the table decorations and any extras such as signs, flowers and wedding favours.

I also like to capture the feeling during the evening if you’ve invested in candles and mood lighting.

At family, baby and maternity photo shoots I usually capture little details of nature around us. The flowers, trees and sky often add to the photos and experience of the shoot and add a little something extra to your photos if you’d like to print them out or put them in an album.
