Corissa & Martin | Anglesey Wedding Photographer Wales
The beautiful Corissa and Martin celebrated their beautiful day on the island of Anglesey, Wales. It was a stunning wedding from start to finish, but what really struck me was how friendly and fun everyone was to be around! You can have a beautiful wedding, but if the people aren't lovely there's something missing. Corissa and Martin's day was definitely complete! Taking place on the cliff side overlooking the sea, Corissa chose to get ready at her In-law's beautiful house which is also where the evening reception took place in a beautiful...
Kim & Matt | Portmeirion Wedding Photographer Sneak Peek
Portmeirion. One of the most unusual, and beautiful places you will ever come across in Wales. There is an overwhelming choice of places to go, so many things to look at in the quirky and interesting wedding location which makes it even more lovable. Kim and Matt chose to have their wedding there, set in the Italian inspired village surrounded by the stunning Welsh scenery. It was a complete joy to join them both, the mood was relaxed and happy and there was a definite party atmosphere ready to break out for the evening! The day went...
Corissa & Martin | Anglesey Wedding Photography Wales Teaser
Wow, what a day! When Corissa first sent me an email with a link of where she was going to be getting married, I knew the ceremony location was going to be a bit special. I didn't know what the location would be like where she was getting ready, or the wedding reception. They were both held at her in-laws house, the most stunning location on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea in Rhosneigr in Anglesey, Wales. The evening reception took place in a marquee that was literally around 5 feet away from the edge of the small...
Luned & Berwyn | Soughton Hall Wedding Photographer
The beautiful Luned and Berwyn chose the stunning location of Soughton Hall for their wedding day. Located just on the border of Wales, it's a perfect location for a wedding with its stately home charms and grace. They had their wedding breakfast in a gorgeous upstairs room, and their evening reception in the lovely marquee at the back of the building.
Luned and Berwyn were such a pleasure to work with, they are such a fun couple, and obviously very much in love. It was one of those days where I instantly felt at home with them and their...
Kim & Matt | Portmeirion Wedding Photographer Wales
I met with the beautiful Kim and Matt for their wedding in Portmeirion, Wales. One of the most interesting venues I have photographed at, Portmeirion is one of my favourite places to visit as in rain or shine it makes a spectacular place for a wedding. We certainly weren't let down during Kim and Matt's wedding, although the weather didn't quite cooperate with us it was a beautiful day. It was clear to see how much their family and friends enjoyed the day in the stunning setting. I was only with them for a few hours but could see how loved...
Paul & Debbie | Portmeirion Wedding Photography Wales
Of all the couples that I work for, they all have one thing in common - they are in love. But for some couples, their love really shines through and is plain for all to see. Debbie and Paul are certainly one of those couples!
One interesting fact I found out about Paul early on is that he is a cameraman for ITV, he films on the set of Emmerdale. Among the guests were some of his crew members from ITV. The general atmosphere of the day from all family, friends and workmates was one of joy, fun and laughter.
A few memorable moments...
Portmeirion Wedding Photography Sneak Peek
It's always exciting getting back from a wedding and taking a little look at the photographs captured that day. An enjoyable (and slightly daunting) task is selecting an image or two to show the couple a teaser of their wedding day. Obviously due to backlog it can be a few weeks before the couple see all of their photographs, so I like to give them a chance to see at least one glimpse of what's to come. But how do you use one photograph to sum up an entire day packed full of so many people, so many things happening, and so many good times?
I had the incredible...
Some people you meet leave a lasting impression, and Paul and Debbie certainly did that! I knew when I first received their wedding enquiry that it was going to be an interesting one. Their wedding venue of choice is the stunning Portmeirion in Wales. I've been there a couple times before, so I know working there as a wedding photographer is going to be fantastic. The buildings and scenery are spectacular, whatever the weather! If possible, I like to meet the couple at the wedding venue for their pre wedding shoot. This allows me to have a look around, and we can have an idea of the best places...
One thing couples want to see when checking out wedding photographers is a portfolio. Many people are happy to view this online, and in this modern society it's easy, quick and convenient. But some people prefer to see albums in front of them, and I have to say, it's amazing viewing photographs in print. They truly come to life on the pages of an album. I have a couple of albums that I take along with me to potential client meetings. One is simply meant as a portfolio of my best images from last year's weddings, and the other one is a sample of the albums available to my clients if they are wanting...
Sneak Peek | Wales Wedding Photography Criccieth
It was with great pleasure that I joined up with the stunning Michelle & Rob for their wedding last weekend in the beautiful seaside town of Criccieth, North Wales. They got married in the picturesque hotel called Mynydd Ednyfed, and asked to have their couples portraits on Criccieth beach.
The wedding day itself was beautiful, despite it being a scorcher of a day everyone was in good spirits. Rob, Michelle and I set off at the start of 'golden hour' for our beach adventure, first stopping in a field full of long grass at the end of Mynydd...
