I recently met up with Chris and Emma and their gorgeous kids Kai and Nyah for a lifestyle photo shoot. We used Ashton Park in Preston,Lancashire to give us some green background, and to let the kids have some space to play.  I'm used to working as a wedding photographer, which I love, but I do enjoying lifestyle portrait sessions almost as much. I was excited about this shoot as I just LOVE letting kids charge around big open spaces such as grassy fields. But adding to the fun they also have a new dalmatian puppy called Lulu. I can honestly say that at times, a family session can be just as stressful...

One of the joys of this job is being able to take part in the most memorable times in peoples lives. I've had the privilege of capturing engagements, weddings, newborn, children and family portraits, but maternity photography was a first for me. I was really excited when I was asked to do this shoot, as I know what an exciting and incredibly special time of life pregnancy is. For the maternity shoot we travelled to the beach at St Annes, Lancashire. The weather was absolutely glorious. We were able to take a stroll on the beach itself, and also have a few photographs taken in a field next to the shore....
