Wedding Photography Packages
The first thing people usually ask me when they get in touch is what are my prices and packages. Obviously a very important part of booking a wedding photographer!
My main package is a full day package. Most couples prefer to have someone cover photography from bride prep (sometimes groom prep too if he's nearby!) the ceremony, wedding breakfast and the evening reception until just after the First Dance. I do get variations on this package though which is why I'm always happy to tailor a package to suit each couple. Some brides and grooms have requested:...
Is Wedding Photography Hard?
Many people assume that wedding photographers show up on a wedding day, stand around and take photographs and that's their job. Simple! The truth? There is SO much more to it than you might think!
Wedding photographers spend much more time on the admin side of their business than the actual shooting photographs. A few examples:
We correspond with potential and booked clients. Getting in touch and replying by email, texts and phone calls. Sometimes in person client meetings when requested and video calls.
We work on our website - blogging, adding...
Where Are You Based? Local Wedding Photographer
This is a question I've had a number of times, and the honest answer is anywhere! I know so many wedding photographers prefer to work at local venues, and as amazing as it is to stay close to home I've had the pleasure of photographing weddings across the whole of the UK and abroad. The furthest away South Africa, Italy and Spain... although I had to send a friend to South Africa as I couldn't make it! I'll never get over that one...
Here are just a few weddings from various parts of the UK I've worked in. Each wedding was an adventure!

Dee & Richard | Wedding Photographer Dogs
I love photographing children, they have such a lovely natural way about them. Once they warm up to me I often have a firm friend for the day! Dogs are similar to photograph, they are such a special part of a family. They are such intelligent animals, it's no wonder couples often choose to have their dogs at their wedding.
I've seen dogs run down the aisle, once one carried the rings for the bride and groom to the top of the aisle! Some choose to have their dogs join them later on in the day for the evening wedding reception.

Emma Family Shoot | Fell Foot Park Photography
I photographed this stunning little family about 4 years ago in Fell Foot Park, Cumbria. The lovely Emma got in touch recently to ask if I could take some updated photos of her little crew. I was so excited to see them again, and it honestly felt like catching up with friends rather than work.
I always try to keep things fun when photographing children, always choosing large open spaces to give them plenty of room to be themselves in between posing for a few more formal photographs. These four are SO much fun together! They're incredibly...
Lexy & Keenan | Liverpool Wedding Photographer
Meet Lexy and Keenan! This stunning couple were married a few days ago in Liverpool. They had an action packed day set in four different locations. They chose to have their ceremony at the gorgeous St George's Hall at the registry office, and later went on to have a second ceremony in the evening.
For their bride and groom portraits we ran around the Walker Art Gallery. I have to say it was pretty special! It's always exciting to photograph something different, and Lexy said it's somewhere she often spends time. Keenan and Lexy were constantly...
Nicola & Dave | West Tower Wedding Photographer
The gorgeous Nicola and Dave were married a few days ago at West Tower in Ormskirk, Lancashire.
We were at one venue for the entire day. This is always so refreshing! It allows for a relaxed atmosphere and along with the glorious sunshine the mood couldn't have been brighter! Their guests were all very friendly and a pleasure to be around, and it was clear how much they love the couple. Nicola and Dave have waited a long time for this moment. They had to postpone three times due to Covid, which just made the day that much sweeter! There...
Nicola & Dave | Spring Pre Wedding Photography Preston
Meet the gorgeous Nicola and Dave! We met up for their spring pre wedding shoot at Avenham Park in Preston, Lancashire. This couple are clearly in love, making my job so easy! They were lovely and relaxed, and both have a great sense of humour making the shoot fun. They actually booked me before Covid started, and like so many couples, they have had to postpone. This really adds to the anticipation and excitement of their wedding coming up this weekend.
During the shoot we walked around the park picking out little spots of nice light....
Kelly & Matt | Wedding Photographer Stockport Town Hall
Meet the gorgeous Kelly and Matt! They contacted me just 3 days before their wedding day understandably stressed, their photographer was no longer available to shoot their wedding and they were in desperate need of someone to cover their day. Thankfully I was free and it was an absolute pleasure to jump in - they couldn't have been a more lovely couple to work for!
Leading up to the wedding Kelly and Matt had encountered a number of stressful events, but on the day itself it went perfectly smoothly for them. In the morning Kelly...
Jen & Mark | Scottish Elopement Glenapp Castle Wedding Photographer
Of all places to elope to, Glenapp Castle in Scotland has to be one of the most beautiful and romantic locations to choose! Jen and Mark were married a few days ago at this stunning castle, and the day couldn't have been prettier for them.
They got ready together in one of the castle's gorgeous rooms, such a calm and intimate way to prepare for their big day. They walked into the ceremony room with a piper playing them in to traditional Scottish music, and had a lovely ceremony in the luxurious surroundings.
After...
