Wedding Photography Packages
The first thing people usually ask me when they get in touch is what are my prices and packages. Obviously a very important part of booking a wedding photographer!
My main package is a full day package. Most couples prefer to have someone cover photography from bride prep (sometimes groom prep too if he's nearby!) the ceremony, wedding breakfast and the evening reception until just after the First Dance. I do get variations on this package though which is why I'm always happy to tailor a package to suit each couple. Some brides and grooms have requested:...
Is Wedding Photography Hard?
Many people assume that wedding photographers show up on a wedding day, stand around and take photographs and that's their job. Simple! The truth? There is SO much more to it than you might think!
Wedding photographers spend much more time on the admin side of their business than the actual shooting photographs. A few examples:
We correspond with potential and booked clients. Getting in touch and replying by email, texts and phone calls. Sometimes in person client meetings when requested and video calls.
We work on our website - blogging, adding...
Jazz & Ste | Gretna Hall Wedding Photographer
Meet the gorgeous Jazz and Ste! This couple were SO much fun to photograph! The day started at Gretna Hall and was incredibly wet (hello, Scottish rain!) with their ceremony taking place in the Historic Coach House. We managed to get some photos in the grounds at Gretna Hall - a few shots in the gardens which are just starting to come to life with the hint of Spring. The natural photos and scenery were most important to this bride and groom, and despite getting rather wet they were up for the challenge. This made my job easier... and that...
Chris & Ru | Dalston Hall Wedding Photographer
Meet Chris and Ru! This beautiful couple were married in Gretna Green registry office and had their reception at the rather stunning Dalston Hall in Carlisle.
Despite a rather wet day, they had planned such a chilled and relaxed wedding that it didn't add any stress. Thankfully we were able to get some bride and groom portraits outside in the grounds of Dalston Hall without getting soaked. The guests were up to the challenge with umbrellas at the ready for the group photos! It was nice to be able to get some natural light and pretty background...
Scotland- Mill Forge Photographer | Karina & Lewis
Meet the stunning Karina and Lewis! They were married a few days ago at Gretna Green, Scotland. Like many couples since Covid started they had to postpone their wedding day twice. Having to postpone just makes a wedding that much sweeter once the couple are able to go ahead!
Karina had clearly put a lot of love and thought into all of the little details that I enjoy capturing so much. From personalised silhouette cake topper (including their two cute pugs!) to a leather jacket hand painted by a friend.
The wedding ceremony was outdoors...
Megan & Craig | Wedding Photographer Anvil Hall Scotland
Meet the gorgeous Megan and Craig! They were married recently at the lovely little venue, Anvil Hall in Gretna Green. The day was very dark and wet (as to be expected for a November afternoon in Scotland) but it added to the atmosphere of the hall which was lit in candle light. We were able to make the most of the venue and the weather certainly didn't ruin their special day or their photographs.
After the ceremony, Megan and Craig had their reception at the well known Smiths Hotel. They all enjoyed some drinks before moving into...
Leslie & James | Smiths Hotel Wedding Photographer Gretna
Meet the gorgeous Leslie and James! They were recently married in the world famous destination of Gretna Green, Scotland.
On the morning of their wedding, bride Leslie and groom James got ready at Smiths Hotel with a few members of their closest family and friends. They walked over the road to the famous Blacksmiths Shop for their wedding ceremony- a location packed with so much history. After the ceremony we were able to sneak off to the fields behind Gretna's little tourist centre for some photos against the beautiful backdrop. Thankfully...
Rebecca & Chris | Dumfries Wedding Photographer Gretna Green
Meet Rebecca and Chris! I popped up to Greta Green for a flying visit to capture some photos of their very special wedding. They travelled from Ireland to get married in Gretna with their parents, choosing to celebrate with their closest family in a place packed with so much history. They had their ceremony at the Gretna Green Registry Office and we popped over to the centre afterwards for some photos in the fields. It was such a pretty day, the weather couldn't have been nicer for them!
Rebecca and Chris, it was lovely to meet...
Hannah & Jonathan | Gretna Green The Mill Forge Wedding Photographer
Meet the gorgeous Hannah and Jonathan! They were recently married at The Mill Forge in Gretna Green, Scotland. They decided to elope with their two stunning boys as their only guests. They had their intimate ceremony and afterwards we were able to use the field behind the venue for their bride and groom portraits and some photos of the boys in a mini family shoot. Even though it wasn't the brightest day this Summer we were very fortunate it was dry so were able to take photos outdoors! After we finished in the field...
Jan & Andy | Dumfries Wedding Photography
Meet the gorgeous couple Jan & Andy! They were married a few days ago at Gretna Hall in Gretna Green, Scotland. They had such a pretty sunny day, and the gardens were in bloom with many flowers glistening in the sunshine.
Jan and Andy have been together and in love for over 18 years, they chose to celebrate their love with a true Gretna Green style wedding. They were married with just a few of their closest loved ones to join them, never losing sight of the true importance of the day - the love between bride and groom. Despite their relatively...
