Engagement Photographs

I recently had the pleasure of working at Statham Lodge Country House Hotel in Cheshire for a pre wedding shoot for one of my couples. This year I am going to be working as their wedding photographer, which I'm really excited about! I've enjoyed capturing Cheshire wedding photography before, but I had never been to this wedding venue. The building itself is absolutely stunning, a Georgian manor house hotel. It gives a beautiful backdrop for any day, but is especially gorgeous for a wedding. Set in landscaped gardens, and surrounded by fields, this wedding venue has lovely views of Cheshire...

I love engagement shoots, because I get a chance to meet a couple before their big day. It's a huge benefit to both myself and the engaged couple, as they get to see how I work with a camera. I can also see how the couple feel in front of the camera. Some people love it, constantly smiling and relaxed. Some are obviously less comfortable, which is good to know before the wedding day so I can reassure them that I will be capturing mostly natural photographs.  I like to keep things as relaxed as possible, and to keep posing to a bare minimum.
