My favourite Scottish wedding to date has to be the incredible Plockton Hotel wedding, with Mirena and James. We met up on the shore of Plockton Hotel, and walked across to a tidal island for their little wedding ceremony. It was pouring with rain, but there was something about the umbrellas that made it feel extra intimate.
After the ceremony, the bride and groom ate a snack under a canopy outside the Highland hotel. For their photos we took a scramble up a large hill, walking up the steep rock...

There's something special about Gretna weddings. Full of so much history and tradition, I love popping up to Scotland for so many weddings there. The beauty of the place for me are the hidden pockets of nature scattered around, if you want to avoid the touristy bits (cute and quirky as they may be!) there are fields, flowers and classy looking backdrops to be had.
Lauren and Macauley had a lovely little Gretna wedding, these are a few of my favourite...

The Crichton Estate wedding photography Dumfries and Galloway
The stunning Crichton Estate is located in picturesque scenery in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It’s such a perfect location for weddings, with multiple venues within a stones throw of each other and too many places to pick for photographs with a bride and groom. On this particular wedding day we were simply spoiled for choice for their portraits - I was excited to use the field at the bottom of the estate...

Scottish Islands Wedding Photographer Scotland
Wedding photography is always an adventure! As much as each wedding is incredibly similar in how they work, many stay with me for their unique scenery, moments or qualities.
One place I love travelling to the most is Scotland. I end up there so many times a year, often taking my little family with me to go off and explore while I'm working. My Golden Retriever is always along with them for the ride! I've been to tiny islands, castles, coast line... despite how the weather turns out Scotland is always a beautiful place to go. The rain and cloud...
Jazz & Ste | Gretna Hall Wedding Photographer
Meet the gorgeous Jazz and Ste! This couple were SO much fun to photograph! The day started at Gretna Hall and was incredibly wet (hello, Scottish rain!) with their ceremony taking place in the Historic Coach House. We managed to get some photos in the grounds at Gretna Hall - a few shots in the gardens which are just starting to come to life with the hint of Spring. The natural photos and scenery were most important to this bride and groom, and despite getting rather wet they were up for the challenge. This made my job easier... and that...
Mill Forge Gretna Green Wedding Venue
The charming little wedding venue The Mill Forge in located in the worldwide popular town of Gretna Green in Scotland. I've had the pleasure of working here for many years in a row. The main area of Gretna is often full of tourists, but The Mill Forge offers a small retreat from the hustle and bustle of the town centre.
Many photographers work in the area but couples choose me as I look for nature around the location instead of just sticking to the obvious landmarks. For bride and groom portraits we sneak off to the fields behind the venue for some...
