I met up with Mark and Erin on their stunning wedding day at the gorgeous Dalston Hall in Cumbria. I was working as a second videographer , capturing their wedding on my DSLR camera, the one that I also use for wedding photography. I love how creative you can be with a professional DSLR, you can change lenses which means you can change focus, depth of field and light conditions. This allows you to capture beautiful and creative cinematography. I'm a huge fan of using a shallow depth of field, which means you can focus on something such as the bride's eyes, and everything else will be out of focus....

Cumbria Wedding Photography A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of working as Chris and Kelly's wedding photographer in the gorgeous Abbey House Hotel in Barrow-in-furness, Cumbria. One thing couples want to see when checking out wedding photographers is a portfolio. Many people are happy to view this online, and in this modern society it's easy, quick and convenient. But some people prefer to see albums in front of them, and I have to say, it's amazing viewing photographs in print. They truly come to life on the pages of an album. Lake District Wedding Photography, Linthwaite House Hotel I love pre- wedding shoots. They allow me to get to know the couple before their big day, and it also helps the couple to see how I work. This photograph is probably my ultimate favourite that I have taken to date, capturing wedding photography. I hope the image speaks for itself. It's one of those shots that looks like it was set up in a studio, but it was actually a spur of the moment, natural documentary style shot. The little girl happened to look up at her Mummy, the bride, and the light above her hit her face just perfectly. I bent down, and the angle was just right to capture her gazing up at the bride.
