Wedding Photography Packages
The first thing people usually ask me when they get in touch is what are my prices and packages. Obviously a very important part of booking a wedding photographer!
My main package is a full day package. Most couples prefer to have someone cover photography from bride prep (sometimes groom prep too if he's nearby!) the ceremony, wedding breakfast and the evening reception until just after the First Dance. I do get variations on this package though which is why I'm always happy to tailor a package to suit each couple. Some brides and grooms have requested:...
Is Wedding Photography Hard?
Many people assume that wedding photographers show up on a wedding day, stand around and take photographs and that's their job. Simple! The truth? There is SO much more to it than you might think!
Wedding photographers spend much more time on the admin side of their business than the actual shooting photographs. A few examples:
We correspond with potential and booked clients. Getting in touch and replying by email, texts and phone calls. Sometimes in person client meetings when requested and video calls.
We work on our website - blogging, adding...
Amy & Pete | Smiths Hotel Photographer Scotland
Amy and Pete had an intimate elopement style wedding in the romantic Gretna Green, Scotland. It was such a calm and relaxed day shared with their parents. Smaller weddings are wonderful, they never lose sight of the most important factor of a wedding - the love between a bride and groom!
We started the day off with preparation photos in Smiths Hotel located just across the road from the Famous Blacksmiths Shop. We walked over for the ceremony at the Blacksmiths, which is full of so much history. Afterwards we went out into the fields behind...
Palm House | Wedding Photographer Sefton Park, Liverpool
As a wedding photographer one of the most exciting parts of the job is finding some amazing venues. One of my all time favourites has the be Palm House in Sefton Park, Liverpool. It's a location I've had the privilege of working at a few times, and I look forward to working there again soon!
The Palm House is a Grade II listed building, a three tiered glass Victorian Conservatory. It was recently restored after lying in ruins for years, and it gives one of the most impressive backgrounds for a wedding. Offering so much beautiful light,...
Becci & Mike | Singleton Lodge Wedding Photographer
Where to start with this one?! Becci and Mike are such a fun and friendly couple who are obviously perfect for each other. They were an absolute pleasure to join. Their wedding was at Singleton Lodge in Poulton, Lancashire and the gorgeous building provided the perfect backdrop for their rustic and relaxed day. The guests, wedding party and staff were all so friendly, and great to be around. It was such a happy atmosphere! It was obvious that they had put so much thought into the little details of the day. A few of the personal touches...
Portmeirion Wedding Photographer Wales
Working as a wedding photographer has always been an adventure taking me to many places I never expected to go. I have had the pleasure of shooting weddings abroad twice in both Italy and Spain, and I frequently get to travel up to Scotland and to Wales to join couples for their special day, as well as the whole of the UK. One of my absolute favourite venues to visit is Portmeirion which is a village created to look like a little Italian town. It sits on the hillside next to the sea, and the views are always so beautiful. It's easy to actually feel...
Jenny & Mark | West Tower Wedding Photography
The beautiful Jenny & Mark were married a few days ago at West Tower, in Lancashire. They were joined on the day by their gorgeous baby girl, who was so well behaved for the whole wedding! They had such great weather- the sun even came out during parts of the day lighting up the colourful Autumn leaves. Mark and Jenny were originally going to get married earlier in the year, but the surprise of Amelia meant they had to reschedule for a bit later. They couldn't have picked a more perfect day to change the date to! It was clear how much...
Michelle & Nick | Chester Zoo Wedding Photographer
Where do I start with this wedding?! Michelle and Nick are such a warm and friendly couple - and their location of choice for their wedding was simply beautiful and so unique. Michelle and Nick chose to get married at Chester Zoo, at a manor home located in the zoo grounds. Situated next to the lions, during the day we could hear the growls and roars coming from next door. During the evening time we went on a walking safari around the zoo once the zoo had closed to the public. We were able to see baby elephants and zebras, along with the other...
Sarah & Phil | Wordsworth Hotel Wedding Photography Cumbria
I joined the lovely Sarah and Phil on their beautiful wedding day a few weeks ago at the stunning Wordsworth Hotel in Cumbria. The day was a gorgeous one full of lovely people, and little touches such as the superhero sweetie buffet to name one of many!
Sarah and Phil are so obviously in love, and when we met up for their engagement shoot in Cumbria before the wedding day it was obvious how much the day would be enjoyed by all. I wasn't wrong in my guess! The guests and family members obviously adore them, and fully enjoyed in celebrating...
Paula & James | West Tower Wedding Photography
I met up with Paula and James recently for their beautiful wedding at the stunning venue West Tower in Lancashire.
It's always difficult doing a write up to go with the pictures, as it's usually the pictures themselves that do the talking, they are the true essence of how the day was. But it was a day was filled with many beautiful moments, happy times, and the most stunning flowers as table decorations that I've ever seen! We were also blessed with lovely weather, which meant that we could make the most of the gardens and nearby fields...
