I Don't Want My Pictures on Social Media or Online, is That Possible?
A number of times over the years, just once in a while, I get a request to keep a potential client's photos off social media and my blog. How do I, as the photographer, feel about this?
I completely and utterly understand not wanting photos online! Especially when it comes to your children, you may not want to have those photos in plain sight for just anyone to see. Also your privacy is very important, and you may simply wish not to have your photos online.
I always work along with a client - if they prefer to keep...
Barry & Emily | Sawrey House Wedding
Meet Barry and Emily! This beautiful couple had an intimate wedding in Beatrix Potter country. Married at the stunning Sawrey House Hotel in Cumbria, the venue is set in the rolling countryside of the Lake District. Surrounded by the colours of Spring, this was the perfect backdrop for their big day.
What the Pluck string quartet offered music from ceremony to the wedding breakfast, giving a lovely atmosphere for the guests to enjoy the soft sunshine and celebrations. Music is very close to Emily's heart as she performs as an opera singer, so her music...
Sarah & Matt | Wedding Photographer Broadoaks Cumbria
Meet Matt and Sarah. This gorgeous couple were married a few days ago at the beautiful wedding venue Broadoaks Country House Hotel in Cumbria. It was such an interesting day, unusually there was a thunder storm nearby which brought torrential rain. Thankfully it eventually cleared in the evening to make way for sunshine. This type of weather may be upsetting at first on a wedding day, but there is usually some sun at the end! Matt and Sarah were able to go outside and enjoy the grounds of the venue for both photographs and time together...
Amanda & Tim | Wedding Photographer Cumbria
Meet Amanda and Tim! This lovely couple were married a few days ago at Linthwaite House Hotel, Cumbria. Every so often I get a booking for a small wedding, and Amanda and Tim decided they only wanted Amanda's Mum to join in on their day. The date was very important to them all, and had great significance and meaning. These weddings always feel so incredibly special to capture. It's great working with brides and grooms who know exactly what they'd like for their wedding day. Celebrating with a few loved ones is just as important as a bigger...
Emily & Andrew | Wedding Photography Low Wood Bay Hotel
The stunning Emily and Andrew were married last weekend at the gorgeous Low Wood Bay Hotel in Cumbria. The day was truly special and it was absolutely jam packed with lovely people and far too many amazing moments to make it easy to pick out just one or two photographs as a sneak peek! Although the weather was a very wet and dark, it certainly didn't dampen anyone's spirits and the venue itself was perfect with large windows and neutral backgrounds. One thing that is so adorable about Andrew and Emily is how in love they are!...
Kerry & Lee | Wedding Photographer Linthwaite
The beautiful Kerry and Lee were married a few days ago at the stunning venue Linthwaite House Hotel in Cumbria, near Lake Windermere. They chose to celebrate their special day with just a few of their closest family and friends, which added to the intimacy and warmth of the wedding. Smaller and intimate weddings always have a lovely feel to them, and Kerry and Lee's day was certainly no exception. Although I was only with them for a few hours, they were such a joy to join and it will be a wedding I'll always remember. During the speeches...
Liz & Jon | Wedding Photographer Milnthorpe
What do you get when you combine Herbie the Love Bug, rainbow wedding shoes, brightly coloured bridesmaids, a wedding ceremony in an Orangery in a secret location in Cumbria, and group photos on a childrens playground in Sedbergh? You get Liz and Jon's amazing wedding day!
Every so often a couple make their day really quirky. I love to see this instead of them feeling the need to stick to ridged tradition just because so many others do. If you have a quirky personality, go with it in your wedding planning! Your family and guests will love...
Gemma & Michael | Armathwaite Hall Wedding Photographer
The gorgeous Gemma and Michael were married at Armathwaite Hall in Cumbria on Friday. Writing a little review about their day is proving difficult, as my words can't match their expressions of pure joy and happiness! But to sum it up, the weather was stunning, letting us fully enjoy the view over the Lake. Everyone was so incredibly friendly, and clearly enjoyed themselves. And Gemma and Michael were obviously in perfect happiness, from the first time they set eyes on each other at the ceremony until I finished after their first dance....
Dee & Richard | Linthwaite Wedding Photographer Cumbria
The stunning Davinia and Richard were married a few weeks ago at Linthwaite House Hotel in Cumbria. The day was a gorgeous one, celebrated with some of their closest friends and family in a relaxed and happy atmosphere. Weddings like this are a true pleasure to photograph first and foremost for the wonderful people who were there to celebrate with them, combined with some stunning details such as Dee's Jenny Packham dress, the gorgeous flowers designed by her sister, the bridesmaid bouquets and the little broaches the groom and his men wore...
Jess & Bob | Linthwaite House Wedding Photographer Cumbria
It's hard to know where to start with the write up about this wedding! Jess and Bob. They're one of these couples that you instantly feel at ease with. The level of kindness they showed on the day was incredibly high, which meant a lot. Combine this lovely couple with one of my favourite wedding venues of all time, Linthwaite House Hotel in Cumbria, and you've got yourself a winning combination!
The day was perfect, full of so much laughter and the wonderful laid back atmosphere that Linthwaite is known for. Jess and Bob celebrated...
