Laura & Ste Wedding Photography Smiths Hotel Gretna Green

Meet Laura and Ste! They were married a few days ago in the very popular and historic Original Marriage room of the Famous Blacksmiths shop in Gretna Green, Scotland. This gorgeous couple celebrated their very special day with their closest family, making it intimate and relaxed in all the best ways.

After their ceremony was over we took some bride and groom portraits in the centre of Gretna Green. I always love this part- where I can take the bride and groom for a stroll to the open fields. The scenery there is beautiful, and the fields provide such a lovely location for a couple to catch their breath and have a little chat away from the guests. Even with the smaller weddings, having a bit of alone time (well, almost alone!) as a couple can really help you process the day. They had the most perfect sunshine, which I’ve found can be a rare treasure in Gretna Green.
