I had the privilege of working at a very beautiful Dalston Hall wedding a few months ago. Dalston Hall is a Grade II listed Castle, located in Carlisle, in the Northern Lake District. Situated in acres of private woodland and stunning gardens, it’s a perfect place for a wedding.
Starting out as Dalston Hall’s Pele Tower, it was built in 1500. In the time that followed, additional extensions and changes were made to the building. But it was in 1897 that a huge refurbishment took place, resulting in a gorgeous mansion.
On Erin and Mark’s wedding day, the sun was shining and it made for perfect pictures in the gardens after the ceremony. A gentle warm breeze was blowing through the trees, as Erin and Mark posed for their pictures next to the arches, trees, flowers and magnificent building. While we were inside, the light was equally as beautiful as it was such a bright and sunny day.
Here are just a few of my favourite shots from the day. The beautiful Erin was expecting their first child together, which really added to the intimacy of their couples portraits. You can see how incredibly happy they both were.
