I had the pleasure of working as Claire and Trevor’s wedding photographer for the day. It was one filled with special touches that made it truly unique. I just love weddings like theirs! It makes the occasion so personal for the couple, and definitely more memorable for all of the guests.

At the very start of the day while Claire was getting ready,  she was shown into a bedroom where a collection of gifts had been laid out on the bed for her. As soon as she saw the stuffed monkey called Mojo, the excitement and surprise on her face was clear to see!!  Mojo and Claire go way back to when Claire was little, and he had recently ‘gone missing’ to her dismay. In actual fact, groom Trev had taken him to have him re stuffed, and during his makeover Mojo was also fitted with a matching suit and cravat for the wedding day.

After the Wedding ceremony Claire and Trev were greeted by their two dogs who were waiting for them outside the church. They looked so excited to be there.

The evening reception took place at Ashfield House in Standish, Wigan.  At the very end of the first dance an inflatable horse made an appearance! Once the first dance had been completed, the dance floor filled up and everyone broke into a rather impressive Zumba routine! It was obvious that much practice had been put in to get it just right, and it looked amazing as the whole dance floor was filled with a synchronised routine. It was definitely a wedding first for me!

The day was a very happy one, and it was a pleasure to photograph. Everyone truly enjoyed themselves, and it was obvious to anyone that Claire and Trev are much loved by their family and friends. They are a lovely couple, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness as husband and wife!
