Wedding Cake Photography | Wedding Cakes Lancashire
One of the things I love the most about photographing weddings is that I get to observe. I can observe the people, watching the emotions as they play out around me. I also get to see some gorgeous details such as the shoes, dresses, flowers and gifts during bride prep. During this part of the day emotions of the bridal party are often on high. This makes it such a special time of the wedding day, with the lead up to the ceremony.
Another part of the day I enjoy is being able to get a behind the scene peek on how the wedding venue is decorated....
Wedding USBs | Wedding Photo Storage
As a wedding photographer I know how important memories are, which is why I always import my wedding photos onto USBs to make sure they're on a safe place to store. I place them in a decorative box, which a couple can keep for many years to come.
Sometimes life happens and it's possible to lose your wedding photos (especially during the chaos of a house move!) which is why I always keep a hard copy of your photos for two years after the wedding to make sure your photos are safe. I know just how devastating it can be to lose your memories -- especially...
Dee & Richard | Wedding Photographer Dogs
I love photographing children, they have such a lovely natural way about them. Once they warm up to me I often have a firm friend for the day! Dogs are similar to photograph, they are such a special part of a family. They are such intelligent animals, it's no wonder couples often choose to have their dogs at their wedding.
I've seen dogs run down the aisle, once one carried the rings for the bride and groom to the top of the aisle! Some choose to have their dogs join them later on in the day for the evening wedding reception.

Wedding Day Emotions | Emotional Wedding Photography
One of the most beautiful parts of working as a Wedding Photographer is witnessing the emotions that come with the day. The secret little smile between a bride and groom - the bridesmaid having the time of her life on the dance floor - the wedding guest shedding a tear during speeches - the Father of the Bride seeing his little girl for the first time dressed as a beautiful bride. Each and every emotion is such a pleasure to capture, a little insight into the deeper feelings of the day.
Some weddings are bursting with emotions, and I'm spoiled...
Chris & Ru | Dalston Hall Wedding Photographer
Meet Chris and Ru! This beautiful couple were married in Gretna Green registry office and had their reception at the rather stunning Dalston Hall in Carlisle.
Despite a rather wet day, they had planned such a chilled and relaxed wedding that it didn't add any stress. Thankfully we were able to get some bride and groom portraits outside in the grounds of Dalston Hall without getting soaked. The guests were up to the challenge with umbrellas at the ready for the group photos! It was nice to be able to get some natural light and pretty background...
Isaac & Bryony | Lady Margaret Hall Wedding Photographer Nottinghamshire
Meet Isaac and Bryony! Every once in a while I'm asked to photograph a wedding for a friend, and it's such a huge privilege to capture photos for someone I know. My little family and I met Isaac on an epic camping trip where he left quite an impression - from hunting down huge logs to light a fire, warming his feet in the flames but most memorable was his kindness towards everyone there. Meeting Bryony it was easy to see what a perfect match they are - they clearly compliment each other!
The evening reception...
Family Photographer Center Parcs | Whinfell Forest
Meet Vicki and her gorgeous family! They asked me to join them for a family photo shoot at Center Parcs, Whinfell Forest in Penrith. I love being able to join families on holiday, when they're together perhaps on a rare occasion due to distance or busy lives. We had a glorious day, one of the only nice days for quite some time which was such a big surprise! We took a stroll through the forest together while I picked out pockets of nice light for photos, and it's always easy to find good spots for the kids to have a run, jump and explore...
Lewi & Izzie | The Lodge Mesnes Park
Wow! Where do I start with this one?! Meet the gorgeous Izzie and Lewi. They were married at The Lodge at Mesnes Park, Wigan. Their wedding reception took place at Mawdesley Village Hall, West Lancashire.
The day started out with a Met Office forecast of thunderstorms and incoming torrential rain. Just in time for the formal group photos! I confess, I very rarely worry about the weather as I can work with some rain but this was looking a bit grim. Instead of storms we were given dry skies and beautiful light to work with - allowing us to take the family...
Emma Family Shoot | Fell Foot Park Photography
I photographed this stunning little family about 4 years ago in Fell Foot Park, Cumbria. The lovely Emma got in touch recently to ask if I could take some updated photos of her little crew. I was so excited to see them again, and it honestly felt like catching up with friends rather than work.
I always try to keep things fun when photographing children, always choosing large open spaces to give them plenty of room to be themselves in between posing for a few more formal photographs. These four are SO much fun together! They're incredibly...
Jess & Anthony | Mottram Hall Wedding Photography
Meet the beautiful Jess and Anthony! They were married on the hottest day of the year (so far) in the stunning wedding venue Mottram Hall . Set in lush gardens, the venue provided the perfect backdrop for their special day.
After a long wait and having to postpone, it must have been such a relief to Jess and Anthony to have their big day finally here! The couple had put so much thought into the planning- from the cute personal robes during bride prep to the stunning wedding decorations during the ceremony and reception. Trees full of blossoms...
