Baby Reuben | Newborn Photography Lancashire It's exciting to be one of the first people to take a picture of a new little person, but it's even more exciting when it's friends that ask me to take the pictures for them. Baby Freya | Lifestyle Family Photography Lancashire I met up with the lovely Heidrun, Tim and baby Freya at their home in Galgate, Lancashire. Baby shoots always have me slightly on edge, I never know how the shoot will go. Will the baby be content? Will it cry constantly? Will the parents be at ease or upset if baby does cry? How will the baby feel about a stranger with a camera? I was relieved that the shoot was incredibly calm, and baby Freya was a superstar! I met up with the lovely Nicola and her beautiful family for a Wirral Lifestyle photography shoot.  I was pleased to get some of their gorgeous little boy, Lewis, as they had taken him to a photography studio when he was a baby and he had cried the whole time. Nicola was saying that it was a stressful event for all of them, so she was pleased to see her three year old happy in his own home. I met this beautiful little girl and her lovely parents recently. We met up in their home in Merseyside for their newborn photography shoot. I just love receiving newborn enquiries, as to be honest, I enjoy cooing over little babies! She was so well behaved and was a dream to photograph. She had the odd little cry here and there, but it was nothing a bit of milk couldn't fix! It's such a privilege to be able to capture such import times in peoples lives, and I never grow tired of being asked to photograph memories such as these. I spend most of my time working as a wedding photographer, travelling all over the UK. But as many wedding photographers find, weddings seem to go through patches where you have loads together, then nothing for a few weeks or sometimes months. Usually in these quieter periods I get enquiries for Lifestyle family shoots and newborn sessions and I love it! It's such a refreshing change. I am still doing what I love, but mixing it up a bit. I recently met up with Chris and Emma and their gorgeous kids Kai and Nyah for a lifestyle photo shoot. We used Ashton Park in Preston,Lancashire to give us some green background, and to let the kids have some space to play.  I'm used to working as a wedding photographer, which I love, but I do enjoying lifestyle portrait sessions almost as much. I was excited about this shoot as I just LOVE letting kids charge around big open spaces such as grassy fields. But adding to the fun they also have a new dalmatian puppy called Lulu. One of the joys of this job is being able to take part in the most memorable times in peoples lives. I've had the privilege of capturing engagements, weddings, newborn, children and family portraits, but maternity photography was a first for me. I was really excited when I was asked to do this shoot, as I know what an exciting and incredibly special time of life pregnancy is. For the maternity shoot we travelled to the beach at St Annes, Lancashire. The weather was absolutely glorious. We were able to take a stroll on the beach itself, and also have a few photographs taken in a field next to the shore....
