Black and White Wedding Photography Cheshire

Black and white photos are simply one of my favourite types of edit. There’s something so special about the timeless quality, and there’s nothing like a black and white image to really highlight emotion in the photographs! Sometimes the image simply jumps out at you, much more than it did in its original colour form.

Sometimes when I take a photo of a lovely moment full of emotion – the groom smiling at his bride, the mother of the bride crying – guests laughing so hard they nearly fall off their chair – there’s something distracting about the photograph. The curtains behind them are a bright yellow, someone’s outfit is glowing pink taking your eye away from what I want to highlight, as an example. As soon as you put that image in black and white it’s the faces that really pop and jump out at you. The emotions are the first thing you notice.

If your photographer chooses to put some of you wedding photographs in black and white, trust that they did as they know it will really benefit your photos!
