Pre Wedding Photos
Why have a pre wedding shoot before your wedding day? Many wonder what the point is with their wedding on the horizon.
Many couples book me as their wedding photographer well in advance – months, if not years before the big day. Most couples who book me for a pre wedding shoot also ask me to photograph their wedding so It’s always nice to talk through the final details with a couple in person.
For many couples, having their photo taken can feel awkward and uncomfortable. I totally get it! I feel the same about having my own photo taken, I’d much rather stay behind the lens. A pre-wedding session is the perfect opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera and to get to know your photographer. This can help you feel more relaxed and natural on your wedding day, resulting in more genuine and beautiful photos. I often find during a pre wedding shoot the couple quickly relax – and in fact many, many couples tell me they actually had fun which totally surprised them!
Your wedding day will be a whirlwind of emotions and events, and it can be easy for some moments to slip by in the excitement. A pre-wedding photography session allows you to capture the love and excitement between you and your partner in a more relaxed setting. These photos will serve as a beautiful reminder of the love you share and the excitement leading up to your big day. This is such a special time, one you’ll no doubt look back on fondly for years to come.
Having a pre-wedding photoshoot will provide you with a collection of stunning images that you can use for your save-the-date cards, wedding invitations, and other wedding stationery. By incorporating these personalized photos into your wedding stationery, you can set the tone for your wedding day and give your guests a glimpse into your love story.
Your pre-wedding photoshoot is the perfect opportunity to do a trial run for your hair and makeup. By seeing how your hair and makeup look in photos, you can make any necessary adjustments. Plus it means a pamper session which is often needed during the stress leading up to your big day!
Are you engaged and in the midst of planning your dream wedding? If so, you may want to consider adding a pre-wedding photography session to your list of must-do wedding preparations. Not only is it a fun and romantic experience, but it also comes with a plethora of benefits that can enhance your wedding day and beyond.
