Auchen Castle Wedding Photographer Moffat

There is a stunning Scottish Castle set in the hillsides of Moffat. One of the prettiest castles I’ve had the pleasure of working at, Auchen Castle is a perfect location for a wedding whether that is an elopement or an event with your favourite friends and family.

Multiple lounges provide plenty of places to sit and chat should the weather be typically Scottish! But the grounds of the castle are what make it extra special. There’s a lake lower down, which is perfect for bride and groom portraits with a swing hanging from a tree. The castle is the backdrop with the lake in the foreground – it’s magical! There are also plenty of lovely little spots for bride and groom photos, and the large steps from the car park are just perfect for the group photographs should you like some.

The castle itself is beautiful and it’s history is enchanting, but the staff also are lovely to work with! There’s something really special about working at a venue and instantly getting treated like you’re one of the crew. If you know they take good care of your photographer, you can be sure they’ll take good care of you and your guests as well.
