Baby Freya | Lifestyle Family Photography Lancashire
I met up with the lovely Heidrun, Tim and baby Freya at their home in Galgate, Lancashire. Baby shoots always have me slightly on edge, I never know how the shoot will go. Will the baby be content? Will it cry constantly? Will the parents be at ease or upset if baby does cry? How will the baby feel about a stranger with a camera? I was relieved that the shoot was incredibly calm, and baby Freya was a superstar! I even got some smiles out of her, but I won’t tell you the noises that I had to make to do so…
Heidrun and Tim, thank you so much for welcoming me into your home, and for giving me the privilege to meet and work with you all. Here are a few favourites from your shoot. Freya is too cute for words!
Doing a family or baby shoot in your own home is always an advantage. You and your child/children will most likely feel at home in your own environment, which can help to contribute to a stress free shoot. For older children a park is always a bonus, so they can charge around and get some energy out. But for babies, all I need is a sofa or a chair near a window. I don’t tend to use lights of any kind unless it’s absolutely needed, so baby isn’t in a studio with huge flashes going off. Natural light is usually enough to provide beautiful light.
Although my website is largely aimed at wedding clients, I am also a lifestyle photographer and do many baby, family and couples photography shoots in Lancashire and beyond. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch via my Contact Form Here
What a cute baby!
