Leora & Terence Preston Family Photographer

Meet this gorgeous little family! I had the pleasure of joining them in Avenham Park in Preston, Lancashire for their family shoot. We had a lot of fun walking through the park picking out pockets of pretty light for their photographs. Despite warnings of rain we actually had lovely weather, the light was soft and flattering and it definitely felt like spring!

The girls were little super stars, only growing tired at the end of the hour where they were rewarded with a trip to the playground. I just love family shoots in nature – kids can be themselves and charge around letting out energy and most of all have fun! The best photographs are captured when kids have freedom, and the adults too.

Chatting to Leora and Terence they told me about their incredible story of how they moved over from South Africa not that long ago. They wanted to find a better life for their girls that is much safer and secure. They seem so happy and it’s clear the girls are thriving over here! Although our wildlife may not be quite as exciting, we did spot Stick Man hiding in the bushes…
