I Don’t Want My Pictures on Social Media or Online, is That Possible?
A number of times over the years, just once in a while, I get a request to keep a potential client’s photos off social media and my blog. How do I, as the photographer, feel about this?
I completely and utterly understand not wanting photos online! Especially when it comes to your children, you may not want to have those photos in plain sight for just anyone to see. Also your privacy is very important, and you may simply wish not to have your photos online.
I always work along with a client – if they prefer to keep things offline I’ll happily go with their wishes. I myself am not really on Social Media much these days, not updating my work Instagram and Facebook pages perhaps as much as others. If a client chooses to keep things offline, I ask if they would mind if I share a couple photos on my blog, if they pre-approve them first. They may just be simple pictures of the venue or detail photos or perhaps the backs of people.
My blog is where most people find me (Google searches lead to my past Blog posts of various wedding venues and photo shoot locations) so it would be incredibly helpful if I can share a photo or two and it’s much appreciated!
If you ever have a request or worry for your wedding day, or photo shoot, please do get in touch with me. I’m always happy to work with clients so they feel happy with comfortable with how their day goes!
Interested in finding out more about my work? Drop me a line via my Contact page and I’ll get in touch very soon. You can also see many examples of my work on both my Wedding and Lifestyle galleries. If you click on each photo in my Blog you’ll be taken into a post with many special moments from various weddings, engagement, family, baby and maternity photo shoots I’ve had the pleasure of recently photographing. Hope to hear from you soon!
