I love engagement shoots, because I get a chance to meet a couple before their big day. It’s a huge benefit to both myself and the engaged couple, as they get to see how I work with a camera. I can also see how the couple feel in front of the camera. Some people love it, constantly smiling and relaxed. Some are obviously less comfortable, which is good to know before the wedding day so I can reassure them that I will be capturing mostly natural photographs.  I like to keep things as relaxed as possible, and to keep posing to a bare minimum.

When I met with Sandy and Jon for their pre wedding shoot in Liverpool, the sun was shining and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day for  photographs. We had a relaxed drink at a rooftop cafe before taking some pictures in the warm sunshine. Here’s just a couple images from their shoot.
