Mill Forge Gretna Green Wedding Venue

The charming little wedding venue The Mill Forge in located in the worldwide popular town of Gretna Green in Scotland. I’ve had the pleasure of working here for many years in a row. The main area of Gretna is often full of tourists, but The Mill Forge offers a small retreat from the hustle and bustle of the town centre.

Many photographers work in the area but couples choose me as I look for nature around the location instead of just sticking to the obvious landmarks. For bride and groom portraits we sneak off to the fields behind the venue for some natural portraits of the new husband and wife. Always my favourite part of the day it offers the opportunity for the bride and groom to escape their guests for a bit and have some time to themselves. Many couples have commented on how much they enjoy this, saying they can almost forget I’m there snapping away as they chat together. A definite win!

Your wedding passes so fast, often like a whirlwind and taking a few minutes of time out to just breathe can help you relax and enjoy the day that much more.
