Mel & Jay | Wedding Photographer Best Western Garstang

Meet the gorgeous Mel and Jay! There’s something so incredibly special about being asked to photograph a wedding for a friend, and it’s a rare treat for me! Mel and Jay wanted their wedding to reflect them- a few wonderful highlights hinting at their personalities were the pie and chips as the wedding meal, the pizza van and the wedding reception itself at the Best Western in Garstang. It was beautifully decorated with lots of twinkling lights giving it a perfect rustic and classic feel. They had 150 guests for the wedding breakfast and you couldn’t have asked for a friendlier bunch of people! They clearly all love Mel and Jay and it was reflected in the happiness surrounding them.

Despite some moody and wet weather, we managed to make up for it in the evening with some photographs in the gardens with some off camera flash. Mel and Jay, thanks so much for asking me to join you for your special day and for being willing to stand in the dark! There’s always method to the madness! I wish you both all of the happiness in the world on your new adventure as Mr and Mrs! Here are a few sneak peek photos, there will be many more to come very soon. xx
